IngrateAfter a gruelling day at work yesterday (the auntie was on leave and my mentor was on mc; and guess who is the lucky one covering all their work! *glee* zzzzzzzzz), things didn't get any better in the morning.
I hate rude people.
The minute I came back from filling my giant water bottle, hands both full with the bottle and my mug, the auntie started to bark at me for God-knows-what reason. Basically she ticked me off over something that wasn't even my fault. Worse, it didn't even involve me. Like wtf. I was nice enough to do ALL her fricking work when I could have done the minimum. I was nice enough to reprocessing whatever errors her file had. Like wtf.
I think she expected me to butter her up and say my apologies but since it wasn't even my fault to begin with, she didn't get to hear them and started flaring up.
Our conversation progressed to her asking if I did her work this morning (Hello, you are back in the office, doesn't that give you the inkling that back in the office = back to work = actually having to START WORKING and DOING YOUR OWN WORK???),
to which I replied:
"Huh?(from the shock of hearing her question) No(obviously not, I am paid to do my work not here to do YOUR work, otherwise I would be getting your pay right? not your personal slave)"
and ended with her saying:
"Nevermind! I check myself and I won't ask you anymore!"
WTF can??? Neighbouring colleagues who doesn't know what is going on might think I didn't do her work ok!!!!
I was so pissed I just stormed back to my seat fuming and ignored her.
After lunch, she tried to test waters by saying "Oooh you spent a lot of time to help me hor, even help me prepare today's spreadsheet. Thank you ah!!" (Yes I am damn nice I know! I even helped her prepare her spreadsheets for today for her convenience sake!! Wasted my time and effort if I knew she was THAT unappreciative)
After a while, she msned (so clever don't dare to use internal messaging coz it can be logged by our bosses and it will make her 'lose face' if our bosses know she is admitting to stuff) me this:
少华_充实的一个星期! 说:
Hello sister... thank you no finish for the help
少华_充实的一个星期! 说:
you did a good job
少华_充实的一个星期! 说:
thanks
少华_充实的一个星期! 说:
:D
And gave me one mooncake to "reward the job well-done".
Whatever.

My boss is quite lame ya. Hahaha. But anyway, this wasn't the first time he asked about my dengue. Even came up to me to drop off my stuff and asked how I was personally after checking on me in our internal msn. How nice T_T Super nice boss ya :) Cute and young British guy too! (Baby don't get jealous. I love you ok!)
But too bad he's going to be leaving SciPrk1 this friday :( He got promoted hahaha. Gonna miss him man. He brought plenty of life and colour to our otherwise quiet and boring office :(
He proceeded to tell me about his move out of SciPrk and the various places he will be travelling to, seemed quite exciting. Very humourous fellow, no airs at all. haiz. Sad man. Hope he will still drop by once in a while. My first taste of a good boss.
Sigh.
Will miss him :(
