How to bargain for your bridal package?
There is No bridal package that should be signed without bargaining. There is also no such thing as a standard bridal package. As much as you are squeezing that very cent out of your wedding coordinator, it is also important to give in at time. This is really a give and take.
Visit a few bridal shops to get the "Bridal package market price" first. At this moment, you should already be very clear on what you want.
The coordinator will usually tell you the price and the items that are included. The standard items are:
* AD wedding gown (MTM or OTR)
* AD evening gown (MTM or OTR)
* AD groom’s suit
* AD groom’s pants (1 pair MTM to keep)
* Trial make-up or ROM make-up
* AD make-up and hairdo
* Hand bouquet – AD and PS
* Free use of accessories - AD and PS
* Actual day bridal car decorations (may or may not include usage of car on actual day)
* Outfits for PS (studio and outdoor)
* 15 to 20 copies in wedding album (size varies)
* Framed Portrait (size varies)
* 8R table top
* 4R give-away photos
* Mini album (repeated poses as big album)
* Photo CD
Wait! Don’t think this is good enough? For the same price, ask for more!
* Wedding and evening gown – ask for MTM instead of OTR if your package does not include MTM
* AD tea dress/kua
* Extra suit and pant for Groom
* ROM package (if you have not ROM yet) - include ROM dress, make-up, hair-do, hand bouquet, free use of accessories
* AD father and father-in-law’s suits
* Usage of car on AD (if not included in standard package) - including driver and petrol
* More outfits for PS
* Ribbons for accompanying cars
* Corsages
* Dress for bridesmaid and jackets for bestman
* Ask for free PG or VG service during your PS or ROM. But be careful, they may assign inexperience freelancers. So, go through their portfolio before you decide to take them.
* More copies in wedding album – the coordinator will increase a few, but you need to bargain for more. 20 copies is not enough to make into a proper album and you do not want to end up spending more on additional photos
* Reduce cost per photo for additional photos
* More give-away photos
* Extra mini album
* Split your PS into 2 days if you want to, at no additional charge for MUA and PG
* Guestbook (not all bridal shops will have)

Smelly came back from the petrol kiosk one evening and fill a plastic bowl with milk.
I asked him what that was for and he said there's a cat at the void deck who had an injured limb.
Smelly looked like he was in a hurry and I tagged along.
We found kitty near the bin and placed the bowl near her.
Kitty lapped up the milk as if she had been starving for a while.
Kitty's limb looked like it was broken. :(
We squatted there and talked to Kitty until she was done.
Kitty looked back at us when we walked back.
Smelly was very quiet that evening and when asked why, he said he was wondering if Kitty is doing fine.
We went to look for her again the next day but she was gone, but the bowl was emptied :)
I love Smelly.
Because he has a heart of gold.
If I saw the kitty, I would have felt sorry to see it in that state but I don't think I will do much beyond talking about it.
But when Smelly sees Kitty, he takes the effort to bring her milk, and look around the area to find it.
He taught me something important again. Compassion is not about talking about how much you care. It is about showing that you care.

- wedding singer
- photoshoot
- photographer
- videographer?
- wedding favours
- guest list (this determines the dream venue?!)
- and the list goes on
But the problem is, I don't know which to look at first?
I need another holiday. Hahaha.

It all started with an email sent to me on 03/03/2006 and look how far it has brought us here. The tears still well up each time I read it.
Looking back at the past 10 - 11 years, we still hang out with the same fellows. We still hung out with each other at least 2-3 times a week. We still call each other at least 3-4 times a day.
Nothing has changed.
And you know what? I am thankful you sent that email.
If not, I would never know what real happiness was and would never have the courage to pursue the 'what-if' that was really meant to be 'this is it'.
And I would never have seen that the person I loved most was just next to me all those while, supporting me, caring for me, making me laugh till I roll over, being there for me whenever and wherever I need you.
10 years of your companionship seem a little too short. And I think I can go on like this for another 100 years feeling as happy as I am now.
I am contented, and you are perfect to me, in every single way.
